School Facilities Management Institute Launches First-Ever Critical Issues Summit
On March 26, 2009, the School Facilities Management Institute (SFMI), in partnership with the New York State Education Department (NYSED) and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), held its first Critical Issues One-Day Training Summit in historic Chancellors Hall located in the NYS Education Building, Albany, NY.
Nearly 200 school facilities directors, school business officials, superintendents and architects and engineers gathered to hear Commissioner Richard P. Mills address the importance of professional development and how necessary it is to continue attendance to programs such as the SFMI Summit to stay current in all areas that affect the successful daily management of school facilities.
