Wal-Mart is one of the best-positioned global retailers in the world today. Enduring values, low-prices, and an understanding for consumer trends all contribute to the retail chain’s success. Still, one key element makes it a go-to family favorite: The one-stop model.

Limited time, limited resources, and today’s rapid work and life pace have made consumers increasingly eager for products and services delivered conveniently, expediently, and skillfully.

Branding: Communicating Your Mission Visually

Communication is the essential ingredient in every successful association. All touch points with internal and external stakeholders must communicate the organization’s mission and vision. How is your organization perceived by its audiences? Here are some components to consider:

  • Social Media: The newest communication tool, social media, is quickly becoming the “public persona” of an organization.

Expanding Horizons Through Social Media

This summer, ADG is taking an active role in navigating the complex world of social media. Our staff has been attending seminars, webinars and classes to learn how to better use the newest social media tools. In May, our staff attended a webinar, “Feeds and Needs,” during which we were introduced to new tools that make social media communication a breeze. We learned about programs such as TweetDeck and HootSuite that organize and schedule posts on Twitter. Our staff continues to experiment with a few of these programs so we can better bring up-to-the-minute Association and industry news to our members.
