Cara A. Grassie, CMP

Cara A. Grassie is Director of Education and Training. Cara is a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) with extensive administrative and planning experience for both the public and private sectors.

Before joining ADG, Cara worked as the Employment Project Coordinator for the Albany County Department for Aging. In this capacity she ran the day-to-day operations of the Senior Community Service Employment Program and served as supervisor to over eighty seniors in county, state and federal employment programs. Cara also served in various administrative positions for the City of Cohoes, including the Police Department, Code Enforcement Bureau and the Mayor's Office.

Prior to her work in the public sector Cara served as Assistant Communications Director and Assistant Legislative Director for Bogdan and Faist, P.C. Cara worked extensively in meeting and conference planning, membership development and legislative bill tracking for numerous statewide associations. Cara also worked as Communications Director for the Albany County Democratic Committee, and has volunteered on political campaigns in various capacities.

Cara is a graduate of The College of Saint Rose, where she pursued a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History with a Minor in Spanish. While in college, she was Captain of the Women's Swim Team and worked with the Residence Life Council. Cara is an active member in the Empire State Society for Association Executives (ESSAE), where she serves on the Special Events Task Force
